Mountain farming and animals at the Praplan Farm
Alpine farming with care, animals and products from our own farm
Our family has run the Praplan Farm for more than five generations. At 1,780 metres, it is our home and the source of much that reaches the table at Baita Odles.
Alpine farming with care
Our 25 cattle spend the summer months from June to October on the mountain pastures of Val Gardena. Fresh herbs and grass in summer, along with quality hay from our own meadows in winter, follow the rhythm of nature.
Free-range hens and fresh eggs
Our hens are part of everyday life on the farm and roam freely around their coop. We use their fresh eggs in our kitchen when the season and the dish call for them.
Cows and calves on the pasture
Our calves stay with their mothers during their first months. On the meadows and in the stable, we care for the animals with calm care, fresh feed and a daily routine that respects their needs.
Pigs from our own farm
Our own animals and short distances give every product a clear origin. That connection shapes our speck, meat dishes and the food we serve.
Goats on the mountain
Our goats are part of life at Baita Odles, too. Their curious nature makes them popular companions for children and for everyone who would like to experience life on the farm from close by.
